RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY POLICY

As a member of the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council), MANUEL BOUVIER adheres entirely to its Code of Conduct by applying its rules and advocating its principles in the sourcing of all the materials used in its jewellery, such as gold, diamonds and colored gemstones.

The RJC defines the responsible supply in metals and gemstones as conflict-free and responsibly performed at every stage. This implies that adequate norms are respected in the field of human rights, labour rights, environmental impact and business ethics, as defined in the Code of Practice of the RJC.

By mainly working with suppliers that are themselves RJC members, MANUEL BOUVIER respects the standards of honesty and integrity in its commercial activities. Thanks to its long-standing relationships with most of its suppliers MANUEL BOUVIER knows that its materials originate from parties sharing the same values and policies.

MANUEL BOUVIER only buys or sells diamonds that are complying with the Certification System of the Kimberley Process and does not tolerate any direct or indirect support to armed non-state groups or their connected entities.

MANUEL BOUVIER makes sure that no conflict diamond (sometimes named “blood diamond”) appears in its stock by buying exclusively diamonds cut by trusted suppliers. These must be based in one of the Kimberley Process signatory countries, a common initiative to governments, industry and civil society targeting the drying up of the conflict diamond flow thanks to an international certification process.

To the best of its knowledge and based on written assurance from its suppliers, MANUEL BOUVIER certifies that the non-industrial diamonds purchased after March 1, 2024 were not mined, extracted, produced or manufactured wholly or in part in the Russian Federation, notwithstanding whether such diamonds have been substantially transformed into other products outside of the Russian Federation.

MANUEL BOUVIER occasionally buys back gemstones and jewellery from privates and contributes to the lengthening of their life cycles and the environment conservation. Metal scraps are systematically recycled.
